CONTRAINDICATIONS
Absolute Contraindications
  • Pregnancy
  • Pacemaker or implanted defibrillator
  • Metal implants in pelvic/lower abdominal area
  • Copper IUD
  • Pelvic malignancy
  • Active pelvic infection
  • Recent pelvic surgery (within 3–6 months unless cleared)
  • Severe haemorrhoids (untreated)
  • Uncontrolled epilepsy
  • Implanted metal hip replacements (depending on proximity)
Relative Contraindications (Require Assessment)
  • Postpartum (less than 12 weeks)
  • Intrauterine device (non-metal – case-by-case)
  • Pelvic pain disorders
  • Advanced pelvic organ prolapse
  • Severe endometriosis
  • Neurological disorders affecting pelvic sensation

PRE-TREATMENT ADVICE
  • Empty bladder before treatment.
  • Avoid metal jewellery on lower body.
  • Wear comfortable clothing.
  • Inform practitioner of any implants, IUDs, surgery or pelvic conditions.
  • Avoid alcohol prior to treatment.

AFTERCARE ADVICE
Immediate Response
  • Tingling or muscle fatigue in pelvic region.
  • Mild lower abdominal soreness (similar to deep core workout).
  • Temporary increase in urinary urgency (rare and short-lived).
First 24 Hours
  • Stay hydrated.
  • Light activity encouraged.
  • Avoid alcohol.
Treatment Course Expectations
  • Typically delivered as 6–8 sessions over 3–4 weeks.
  • Improvement may begin after 2–3 sessions.
  • Optimal results usually seen 4–6 weeks after completing course.
  • Maintenance sessions may be recommended every 3–6 months.
