EYEBROW WAXING

CONTRAINDICATIONS
  • Sunburn or recent sun exposure to the area

  • Use of Retin-A, Accutane, or other retinoids (wait 6 months after discontinuing)

  • Recent chemical peels or laser treatments (wait 2-4 weeks)

  • Cuts, abrasions, or open wounds in the treatment area

  • Active skin infections (bacterial, viral, or fungal)

  • Severe acne or inflamed breakouts around brows

  • Eczema, psoriasis, or dermatitis in the area

  • Allergies to wax or related products

  • Pregnancy (extra sensitivity may occur)

  • Extremely thin or fragile skin


PRE-TREATMENT ADVICE
  • Grow brows out for at least 2 weeks before appointment for best results

  • Avoid exfoliating the brow area 24-48 hours before treatment

  • Do not apply retinol products to the area for 3-5 days prior

  • Arrive with clean skin, free from makeup or oils

  • Avoid caffeine before appointment as it can increase sensitivity

  • Take a pain reliever 30 minutes before if you have low pain tolerance

AFTERCARE ADVICE
  • Avoid touching the treated area for at least 2-3 hours

  • No makeup on brows for 12-24 hours
