This is not the aftercare for the Plasma Pen fibroblast treatment please refer to the specific contraindication and aftercare information.
Plasma Channeling
(Fractional plasma energy delivery – not fibroblast / no carbon crusting)
CONTRAINDICATIONS
Absolute Contraindications
Pregnancy or breastfeeding
Active skin infection (bacterial, viral, fungal) in treatment area
Active cold sores / herpes simplex
Open wounds or broken skin
Skin cancer in the treatment area
Pacemaker or implanted electronic medical device
History of keloid or hypertrophic scarring
Severe uncontrolled diabetes
Autoimmune conditions affecting healing
Recent isotretinoin use (within 6–12 months depending on protocol)
Relative Contraindications (Doctor clearance may be required)
Use of anticoagulants
Active inflammatory skin conditions (eczema, psoriasis, dermatitis)
Recent chemical peel or laser (within 2–4 weeks)
Recent sunburn or UV exposure
PRE-TREATMENT ADVICE
Avoid sun exposure, sunbeds and fake tan for 2 weeks prior.
Discontinue retinoids, exfoliating acids, and active skincare 5–7 days before treatment.
Avoid chemical peels, microneedling, or laser in the treatment area for 2–4 weeks.
Do not wax or use depilatory creams on the area 5–7 days prior.
Stay well hydrated 48 hours before treatment.
If prone to cold sores, antiviral prophylaxis may be recommended.
AFTERCARE ADVICE
Expect redness, warmth and mild swelling for 24–72 hours.
Skin may feel rough or dry for several days.
Use only gentle cleanser and the recommended Leaf & Lab recovery products.
Avoid active ingredients (retinol, AHA/BHA, vitamin C, exfoliants) for 5–7 days.
Avoid heat (sauna, steam, hot baths, intense exercise) for 48 hours.
No makeup for 24 hours (or as advised).
Strict SPF 30–50 daily for minimum 4 weeks.
Do not pick, scrub or manually exfoliate the skin.
Full collagen stimulation continues for up to 12 weeks.
Cold Plasma
(Non-ablative, antimicrobial, skin rejuvenation treatment)
CONTRAINDICATIONS

Pacemaker or implanted electronic device
Epilepsy
Active skin infection in treatment area
Active skin cancer in treatment area
Relative Contraindications
Severe rosacea flare
Recent aggressive resurfacing treatment
Metal implants in direct treatment area
Autoimmune conditions affecting healing
Cold Plasma is generally very safe and suitable for sensitive or compromised skin when properly assessed.
PRE-TREATMENT ADVICE
Avoid sunburn or excessive UV exposure 5–7 days prior.
Discontinue strong actives (retinol, acids) 3–5 days before treatment.
Arrive with clean skin (no makeup, SPF or heavy products).
Stay hydrated before your appointment.
AFTERCARE ADVICE
Mild redness may occur for a few hours.
Skin may feel slightly tight or warm.
You may resume makeup after 12–24 hours unless advised otherwise.
Avoid exfoliation and active skincare for 3–5 days.
Apply SPF daily.
Avoid heat treatments or intense exercise for 24 hours.
Results improve with a course of treatments.
Fine Line Eraser
(Fibroblast Plasma Pen with ball-end – creates controlled micro exfoliation in line)
CONTRAINDICATIONS
Absolute Contraindications
Pregnancy or breastfeeding
History of keloid or hypertrophic scarring
Active skin infection or inflammation
Skin cancer in the area
Isotretinoin within 12 months
Autoimmune disorders affecting healing
Poor wound healing
Blood clotting disorders
Pacemaker
Relative Contraindications
Smokers (delayed healing)
Diabetes
Use of anticoagulants
Recent sun exposure
Dermal filler in area within 8 weeks
PRE-TREATMENT ADVICE
Avoid sun exposure and fake tan for 4 weeks.
Discontinue retinol and acids 7–10 days prior.
No injectable treatments in the area for 6–8 weeks.
Avoid alcohol 24–48 hours before treatment.
Antiviral medication required if prone to cold sores (especially peri-oral).
Arrive makeup free.
AFTERCARE ADVICE
Small carbon crusts will form immediately and remain for 5–10 days.
DO NOT pick, scratch or remove crusts.
Keep area clean and dry for 24 hours.
Apply only recommended healing balm.
Avoid makeup until crusts have naturally fallen off.
Avoid sun exposure for 8–12 weeks.
SPF 50 mandatory once crusts have shed.
Expect swelling (especially around eyes) for 2–5 days.
Mild redness may persist for several weeks.
